Ishtakamya is an upcoming Kannada romantic comedy film directed by Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar is based on the 1980s novel of the same name written by Dodderi Venkatagiri Rao.The film features Vijay Suriya of Agni Sakshi fame, Mayuri Kyatari of Ashwini Nakshatra fame and Kavya Shetty in the lead roles and is expected to release in February 2016.
The music composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath comprises a poem written by Kuvempu. It is reported that the song named "Jenaguva" is shot in Kavishaila.

Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar has silently completed the shooting of his new film 'Ishtakamya' starring Vijay Surya, Mayuri and Kavya Shetty in lead roles. One of the highlights of the film is, a poem of Jnanapeeth award winner Kuvempu has been used for the film. The poem which is called 'Jenaguva' has been shot in Kavishaila and other places.Ajaneesh Lokanath has composed the music for this poem.
'Ishtakamya' was launched a few months back and Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar has completed the shooting in 50 days. Ravikumar Sana is the cameraman of this film. B Jayashree, Mandya Ramesh, Suman Nagarkar and others play prominent roles in the film.
Actress Suman Nagarkar who is now settled in America and has silently acted in two Kannada films during her vacation in Bangalore. Yes, the actress who had come on a vacation has acted in Sunil Kumar Desai's 'Yakshaprashne' and Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar's 'Ishtakamya'.
