S3 is a Mass-Masala action film starring Suriya in the lead role.
The film began shooting in Visakhapatnam from 7 January 2016 with scenes involving Suriya and actress . The new schedule saw a series of new cast members join the franchise, with actors Krish, Soori, Chaams and Robo Shankar selected to portray police officers.
S3 is an upcoming 2016 Indian Tamil action film directed by Hari. A sequel to the 2013 film Singam II, the film stars Suriya, Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan.Anirudh Ravichander was replaced by Harris Jayaraj as the music director for the film. Principal photography of the film commenced on 7 January 2016 in Visakhapatnam.
Looks like Tamil superstar Suriya has just got his hands on a sure-shot box office winner. The first look of the third part of his 2010 hit Singam has him in a fiery mode: of the three posters released on Thursday, he sports an intense and angry look in two of them, his face morphed with that of a lion. The third is a side-angle shot of him posing with a gun. All the posters of the action thriller, with a tagline ‘Universal Cop’, are either in the shades of black or ochre.
Directed by Hari, the third installment of the franchise also stars Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan. The film now has a new name, S3. It is being produced by Suriya’s home banner 2D Entertainment and Harris Jayaraj has been roped in to compose its music.

Iru Mugan is an upcoming Indian Tamil science fiction thriller film written and directed by Anand Shankar. The film features Vikram, Nayantara and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. Having gone through several changes of cast and producers, the film began production in December 2015.
Director Anand Shankar and Vikram were first announced to be collaborating in October 2014, with producer S. Thanu financing the venture. Anand Shankar completed the script throughout early 2015 and toured Malaysia to find locations, while Vikram completed his other projects. Kajal Aggarwal and Priya Anand were signed on to portray the lead actresses, while Manush Nandan and Anirudh Ravichander were approached to be the film's cinematographer and compose the film's music, respectively.The project was titled as Marma Manithan and was reported to begin shooting in Malaysia from June 2015.Instead, production disputes took place during June 2015 after Ayngaran International also announced their interest in producing the film, with Thanu attempting to hand over the rights of the film. Priya Anand also opted out of the film, with Bindu Madhavi announced as her replacement. The ongoing changes subsequently stopped the team beginning their shoot in Malaysia during July 2015 and the production was stalled. The delays meant that Vikram stopped waiting for the makers to begin work, changed his specially-prepared facial hair and went back to add finishing touches to his other ongoing project, 10 Endrathukulla .
Ayngaran International backed out of the film in November 2015, prompting Anand Shankar to re-approach different producers to find new funding for the project. Later on in the month, Shibu Thameens agreed to produce the film and announced that the film would finally begin its first schedule in Malaysia during December 2015. The change of producer also meant significant changes were made to the cast and crew of the film, with Kajal Aggarwal dropped for Nayantara. Bindu Madhavi was left out of the new team, while the makers discussed the secondary lead role with actresses Nithya Menen and Parvathy, before Menen was selected. Likewise R. D. Rajasekhar and Suresh Selvarajan were brought on board to handle the film's cinematography and art direction, respectively.Harris Jayaraj was also subsequently confirmed as the film's music composer, and marked a return to signing films after taking a brief sabbatical.
The film was launched in December 2015 and it was revealed that the film would be shot in Chennai, Ladakh, Bangkok and Malaysia. The project was also retitled as Iru Mugan and a first look poster was released in early January 2016

Theri is an upcoming Indian Tamil action film written and directed by Atlee and produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The film features Vijay, Samantha and Amy Jackson in the lead roles, while Prabhu and Raadhika Sarathkumar amongst others form an ensemble cast. Featuring music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar and cinematography handled by George C. Williams, Theri will have a theatrical release in 2016.
In September 2014, Kalaipuli S. Thanu signed on to finance a project directed by Atlee, which would feature Vijay in the lead role. Atlee continued to script the film through late 2014, while it was announced that Vijay would join the team to start filming after the completion of his other venture, Puli Actresses Samantha and Amy Jackson were reported to have signed the film in January 2015, after a few Hindi actresses turned down the opportunity to work on a Tamil film. Several of the technical crew involved in Atlee's previous film, Raja Rani were also added to the team including music composer G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematographer George C. Williams, editor Ruben and art director T. Muthuraj. An official launch event was held at the Kerala Club House on the East Coast Road in Chennai, with several members of the cast and crew in attendance. Alongside the lead actor, it was revealed that Prabhu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, director Mahendran, and actress Meena’s daughter Nainika would be a part of the film. Several titles for the film including Moondru Mugam, Vetri, Thuppaki 2, Khakee and Thaarumaaru were considered, before the makers finalised Theri in late November 2015.
The film began production in Chennai during early July 2015 and an introductory song for Vijay was shot in the city, followed by scenes featuring the actor and Samantha on the East Coast Road. Further scenes in Chennai were shot at Adityaram Studios and at Binny Mills, where art director T. Muthuraj had erected a huge set. Raadhika Sarathkumar was also a part of the shoot, while actress Sunaina shot for one day in the schedule which ended in mid July 2015.The second schedule for the film restarted in Chennai during August 2015 and went on for twenty five days. Vijay and Samantha participated in shooting of the month, while production was briefly delayed owing to a strike held by the Tamil Film Producers council against FEFSI employees. MGM Dizzee World on the East Coast Road was also used as a location to film sequences during August 2015. A further schedule began again for a month long shoot in September 2015 in Chennai.
G. V. Prakash Kumar was signed to compose the film's music and collaborated with Atlee after the success of their previous album, Raja Rani . Theri was the fiftieth film that Prakash had signed, and with Atlee, he went to Goa in March 2015 for a music composing session. Uthara Unnikrishnan and Deva recorded songs for the film, while Vijay and Neeti Mohan also recorded a song for the film.

Thozha is a Tamil/Telugu bilingual drama film starring Karthi and Nagarjuna in the lead roles.
Oopiri (English: Breath) is an upcoming Indian Telugu-Tamil drama film directed by Vamsi Paidipally which is simultaneously being shot in Telugu and Tamil languages. Produced by Prasad V Potluri under the banner PVP cinema, it features Akkineni Nagarjuna and Karthi playing the male leads, the film being the latter's first straight Telugu film. Tamannaah plays the female lead. Titled Thozha in Tamil, Gopi Sunder composes the film's music. Production began on 11 February 2015 at Hyderabad and principal photography began on 16 March 2015 at Chennai. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 25 March 2016.
After the release of Yevadu , Vamsi Paidipally approached Akkineni Nagarjuna and N. T. Rama Rao Jr. for a multistarrer film.[1] Prasad V Potluri announced in early April 2014 that he would be producing it under the banner PVP Cinema. Pre-production began in late March 2014 and the film was expected to go on floors in July 2014 During the promotion of Manam, Nagarjuna said that the final script is getting ready.[4] The final narration was given to both Nagarjuna and Rama Rao Jr. in the end of June 2014.
Nagarjuna said in an interview that both the leads will play two characters each. Regarding the selection of Karthi to replace Rama Rao Jr. after the latter walked out, PVP Cinema's executive director Rajeev Kamineni said to The Hindu that they opted for Karthi to bring "a combination of actors who had not collaborated before and who appealed to both the classes and masses", considering the fact that Karthi and Nagarjuna are familiar to both Telugu and Tamil audience. This marked Karthi's first straight Telugu film. Karthi persuaded the film's team to give the bound volume of the Telugu dialogues in advance.[18] He also polished his Telugu speaking skills for the role considering the fact that the film was his Telugu debut.
Rajeev Kamineni said that a substantial portion of the film will be shot abroad. Principal photography commenced at Chennai on 16 March 2015 and scenes focusing Karthi and Jayasudha were shot in the first schedule at a house set erected for the film's shoot. By the time Haasan was restricted by the court after walking out of the film, the first schedule of the principal photography was completed.Nagarjuna joined the film's shoot at Annapurna Studios on 8 April 2015. Scenes focusing Nagarjuna, Karthi, Tamannaah and others were shot from 10 April 2015 in the second schedule which lasted for 20 days. Nagarjuna completed filming for his part in this schedule on 25 April 2015.
On January 19, 2016 makers announced the worldwide release date as 25 March 2016. A poster was also released to confirm the same. On february 20 2016 a teaser was released in Telugu and Tamil.

Jiiva had initially planned to produce the film himself before P. T. Selvakumar came forward to produce the film.
